Occupational Skill Upgrading (OSU) Training in Electronics Engineering

Purpose

To produce middle level competent workforce especially in the field of electronics engineering and improve theoretical as well as practical competencies of instructors with basic level training skills, knowledge, tools and techniques for delivering quality training in technical education and vocational training (TVET) sector.

 

Structure

This is Ten days (Two week) training course. The training requires full time attendance and active participation of all participants. The training will be conducted lab-based practice in English / Nepali.

This OSU training is modular based training. which has three fundamental modules viz Electronics Device & Circuit, Microcontroller & Microprocessor and Computer Hardware & Networking

Prerequisite for Participation: All participants should have knowledge about semiconductors components, embedded C programming language and basic computer networking with at least B.E, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electronics or Computer Engineering.

  

Target Group

Trainer/instructor having at least one years teaching experience in electronics or computer engineering subjects from TVET sector.

Goals

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

 

  • design of analog as well as digital hybrid circuits;
  • repair and maintenance technique of consumer electronics appliance;
  • assemble, test and implement for the designed circuits for consumer demand;
  • perform embedded C Language;
  • perform AVR Microprocessor Interface with different modules;
  • Perform Arduino Microcontroller interfaces with different modules;
  • Implement AVR microprocessor-based projects;
  • implement Arduino microcontroller-based projects;
  • perform computer maintenances;
  • perform computer networking;
  • assemble and disassemble computer parts.

Methodology

This training will primarily use learner-centered strategies. Occasionally, direct strategies are used to provide necessary input. A wide variety of methods such as demonstration, illustrated talk, small group activities, oral questioning, brainstorming and participants’ presentation will be used to accomplish the course goals.

Evaluation

Knowledge, performance and attitude will be evaluated during this course.

Certification

TITI will award a certificate to those participants who successfully complete the training.

Course Information

Course: Community Based Needs Assessment (CBNA) Training, Online

Purpose: To provide training institutions, organizational and individual personnel with the skills needed to assess and analyze problems felt by the community people and to identify the needs of a particular community.

Structure: This is online training course of 70 hours (20 hours theory in online mode and 50 hours individual assignment. All the theoretical concepts will be dealt through online platform (Zoom/ Microsoft). Full time online attendance and active participation is required. The class will be conducted in Nepali and also in English if necessary.

Target Group: Instructors and Assistant Instructors of TVET institute who are involved in teaching community development related subjects.

Goals: At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • identify causes of any community related problems
  • collect needs assessment data in community contexts
  • analyze needs assessment data
  • make recommendations to solve the community problems
  • speak a common language of training needs assessment terms in the community context
  • continue to learn about training needs assessment through sharing, forum and internet strategies.

Methodology: This training will be delivered in online mode. During online delivery, learner-centered strategies will be used. Wide varieties of methods such as illustrated talk, small group activity, oral questioning, demonstration, brainstorming and plan presentation will be used to accomplish the course goals. After that, participants will conduct an actual community-based needs assessment within a community when needed.

Evaluation: Participants are evaluated based on assignments and individual performance on their attitude.

Certification: TITI will award a certificate to those participants who successfully complete the training.
