This training provides essential facilitation and moderation skills, tools, and concepts to the personnel;manager, team leader, coordinator, instructor, trainer and other working in the TVET institutes. It is a 7 days course including practical assignment.

Course

Training of Trainers (ToT) for Effective TVET Management based on Competency Development (CD) Framework

Purpose

To instill knowledge and skills on TVET issues to principals, coordinators and instructors of the public technical schools through training at the implementation level. The participants will also deal with the current TVET issues, challenges and best practices for identified issues.

Structure

This is a four-weeks training program consisting of 2 weeks in-house theory and practical sessions followed by 2 weeks practicum at provinces. The training focuses on knowing as well as doing/practical skills. The training requires full time attendance and active participation.  

The training will be delivered both in English and Nepali. The training materials to be provided will be mostly in English.

Target Group

Head teachers/Teachers/instructors who have been teaching in different public schools under CEHRD and CTEVT.

Goals

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

 

  • Explain the TVET policies, programs and practices;
  • Explain the current TVET issues and challenges (access, equity and expansion, quality and relevance, governance and management, sustainable financing, institute- industry linkage).
  • Explain the TVET curriculum and present training models.
  • Advocate concerted efforts for sustainable engagement in TVET;
  • Apply the pedagogical skills in instruction.

Evaluation

Following learner-centered methodologies will be applied to deliver the contents and skills:

  • Brainstorming, lecture, illustrated talk, group work, oral questioning,
  • Demonstration, simulation/role play, field visit, observation,
  • Project work, experience sharing, case studies, and participants' presentations.

 

Knowledge, performance, and attitude will be evaluated during the training course.

Certification

TITI will award a certificate to those participants who complete the two weeks inhouse training in TITI and conduct two events of provincial training (1-week package) as intern successfully.

Training on Labor Market Assessment (LMA)

Purpose

To provide the higher-level official involved in TVET with the current trends of knowledge and skills needed to carry out Labor Market Assessment effectively and efficiently.

Structure

This is a five days training program in face-to-face modality provides the necessary theory inputs and practice on data analysis. The class will be conducted in English/Nepali.

Target Group

Principals, Vice-principals, Trade heads, Training coordinators of public and private TVET institutions.

Goals

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

 

  • Understand and assess the current status of labor market nationally and internationally;
  • Familiar with terms and terminologies used in labor market system.
  • Explain occupational dictionaries;
  • Apply tools and techniques used in labor market survey;
  • Discuss on requirement of counselling for youth employment;
  • Introduce software used to analyze data related to labor market;
  • Discuss on linkage of TVET with labor market.

 

Methodology

During this training, current practices related to labor market system will be discussed intensively along with illustrated talk, small group activities, oral questioning, brainstorming and participants’ presentation on practicum work will be used to accomplish the training goals. Principles of adult learning will guide the overall process.

 

Purpose

To provide training institution and organizational personnel with the essential project planning skills, tools and concepts needed to develop a project plan for the institution /organization.

Structure

This is a 70 hours (10-days) training course. The training requires full time attendance and active participation of all the participants. The course language will be mainly English and whenever necessary, Nepali explanation will be given. Full time online attendance and active participation is required.

Target Group

Directors/Deputy Director, principals, vice-principals, project managers, trade head, coordinators, and people working TVET management sector of public, private and non-governmental organizations.

  • Develop tools for project planning
  • Prepare project proposal
  • Speak common terminologies used in project planning
